Don’t be afraid of the Dark.

Embrace the things that go bump in the night. Step into the Shadows with me and follow along as the things that bounce around inside my head find their way to print.

Well, it’s almost that time!

Those of you that know me and have followed my writing and music projects for so long will be able to appreciate this, and for those that don’t, here’s what’s coming.

In 2001, I released a couple of writing projects. One of them was called Midnight Opus: Poetic Ravings of a Vampire. It was a collection of dark poetry and short stories. The intention being to use some of the stories in there to fuel upcoming novels. Upon completion and publication of Midnight Opus, I began writing a new book, based on one of the stories. Unfortunately, the computer the material was on crashed, and I thought I had lost it all. I got into music with a heavy metal band, and it began to consume my need to create, and the project was forgotten in the crush of things.

Fast forward to modern times. A friend very insistently encouraged me to start writing songs for a music project again. A viking music project. So I began writing again. I actually used a couple of the poems from Midnight Opus in our music, because they just “fit” as a viking. Then, one day I’m looking through old discs, looking for some of my old band’s music, and I find the old manuscript for the book I was going to follow up with. The first four chapters! I didn’t even know I had backed it up on disc. So, not to sound cheesy, but the book, was re-vamped, and will soon be ready for publication and release to the world, and I couldn’t be happier. To top it off, I cleaned up Midnight Opus, added a few things to it, re-vamped the cover art, and will be re-releasing it as well!
